a forceful alt.fierce panda one sheet The Band: CAMBER The Release: 'WHAT WOULD YOU DO?' The Format: DIGISINGLE The Release Date: JULY 28TH 2025 The Truth: coolly frenetic teenage alt.rock trio CAMBER release their debut single, 'What Would You Do?' on fierce panda on July 28th. This is the first track from their forthcoming EP of the same name, due on October 10th. CAMBER are that rare find – a talent beyond their years. Natives of Kent’s rural idyll, the band were drawn together in the Spring of 2023 while still at school and by a mutual love for musical heroes including Big Thief, Elliott Smith, Bruce Springsteen and Joni Mitchell. Consider that singing guitarist Elliot Graham hadn't finished his exams by the time they'd signed to fierce panda records in the spring, throw in Joe Payne (bass / vocals) and Patrick Horan (drums / playback), and you have the Camber band in full effect, fizzing with the energy of a band-of-brothers not yet out of their teens. 'What Would You Do?' sets out their sonic stall in spades, galloping along with a shiny ruggedness, if not a raucous melodic sheen. There are flashes of Fender amidst these flushes of youth as Camber throw themselves in to their art and craft pop vignettes the envy of more elderly contemporaries. Lyrically, Elliott delivers astute observations tackling youthful preoccupations with love’s enduring capacity to generate heartache and redemption in equal measure. Having served a brief but intensive apprenticeship the band have started to turn heads and ears, leading to studio collaborations with musical director/drummer/producer Sebastian Sternberg (Goldfrapp, Jack Zavoretti, Imelda May) and Grammy winning Matt Lawrence (Mumford & Sons, Adele, Beyonce), the fruits of which are available for all to sample on the stormtrooping 'What Would You Do?' EP, which will feature four tracks of sumptuously mature alt.rock nuggetry. Beyond cramming for exams Camber have clambered out of Kent for key live shows this year: a mini-residency at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes in Shoreditch here, an Alt.alt.alt. Escape showcase for fierce panda & Goo Records at a rocking Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton there. Next up, they perform at these shows:
