The Truth: Home Counties artpop countess FOE is preparing for the release of her debut album Bad Dream Hotline (Vertigo) by headlining the opening night of PANDAMONIUM 12, with the varied and vivacious likes of Kyte, Hey Sholay, Sissy & The Blisters, Purson, The Queens English, The TenFiveSixty, Hawk Eyes, Dingus Khan, Wild Swim, Whales In Cubicles, Rubylux and Spotlight Kid all set to join her in settling some scores in the first week of 2012.
Because PANDAMONIUM is the fierce panda-endorsed annual live event which takes place in their back room, ie the Bull & Gate, in the New Year when the mince pies have lost their spice and the trees are droopier than a sad old dawg. Yknow, the time of year when nobody goes to gigs.
Well, we do, and so do gazillions of other music lovers who are desperate to get out of the house and into the gigging groove. We should know - the first ever Pandamonium event was held in 1999 and featured some bunch of scamps called Coldplay propping up the bill, while the last 2011 Pandamonium event was launched by Tribes, Various Cruelties and various other cool cats playing the first ever night with award-winning blogsters mybandsbetterthanyourband Now PANDAMONIUM 12 is heading towards us at a rapid rate of nuts and the mybandsbetterthanyourband cats are back on board for the New Year curtain raiser, joining a veritable punchbag of panda-friendly bands and promoting friends such as wegottickets / musicosity , Symptomatic and Glasswerk on our strange, slightly empty journey between TUESDAY JANUARY 3RD and SUNDAY JANUARY 8TH.
