** COQUIN MIGALE GO ALL ‘SOFT’! **
** NEWCASTLE ROCKSTERS GET EPIC ON NEW SINGLE AND HEAD OUT ON TOUR! **

A barnstorming fierce panda one sheet

The Band: COQUIN MIGALE

The Release: ‘SOFT’

The Format: DIGITAL SINGLE

The Release Date: OCTOBER 21ST 2016

The Truth: COQUIN MIGALE are from Newcastle. They consist of Alex Soper (guitar / vocals), Stevie Kane (bass), new boy Mark Crab Robinson (guitar) and Josh Holmes (drums), and together they are pronounced "Co-kwin Mig-ale". ‘Soft’ is their brand new single which takes their trademark indiegrungerock sound and adds another 4000 layers of epic melodic power, and then some. Fresh from furthering their career with live shows in Korea, the Coquin quartet will be cookin’ up a sonic storm at these tour dates here:

OCT 08 MIDDLESBROUGH Twisterella Festival
OCT 14 WARWICK University
OCT 15 LONDON Manor House The Finsbury (Amazing Radio Blogtober show)
OCT 16 NEWCASTLE Oxjam
OCT 20 NEWCASTLE Head Of Steam
OCT 28 NEWCASTLE Head Of Steam
OCT 29 STOCKTON The Green Room
NOV 04 LEEDS Verve Bar
NOV 05 MANCHESTER Night& Day
NOV 11 CHESTER The Live Rooms
NOV 12 BATH The Nest
NOV 17 NEWCASTLE The Cluny 2
NOV 18 LONDON Camden Assembly
NOV 19 LIVERPOOL Legion

DEC 06 LONDON Amersham Arms

The sumptuously heavyweight ‘Soft’ single follows hot on the heels of the ‘Munro’ album which was released on August 19th to tie in with Coquin Migale’s momentous headline appearances on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals. Previous panda singles ‘Pt. 2’ and ‘Grindie’ set the musical template for ‘Munro’ with their fragrant vocals and emboldened riffs and lovely subtle rock flourishes, and now ‘Soft’ takes that template outside for a darned giant cosmic cuddle.

Little wonder that the likes of ‘Grindie’ and previous releases ‘Gold’, ‘Socrata’ and ‘Luv’ should have all burrowed their sweet, sweaty ways into the hearts of the nation’s finest disc jockeying tastemakers such as Huw Stevens, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, John Kennedy and Phil Taggart as well as meriting the local hero love of BBC Introducing Newcastle. And even smaller wonder that the ‘Munro’ record should have – quite literally - sparked these literary flurries here, here and there:

“The album fizzes with ideas and energy…the songs reveal a keen sense of epic space and emotional tenderness.” – Daily Mirror

“If you like your rock loud, distorted and fresh, I would urge you to go and get this belter of an album.” – The Zine

“For fans of a classic alternative rock sound this is for you: these guitar riffs and melodies with great rhythm and pace are going to propel this band onto a greater audience.” - littleindieblogs
