The Truth: Esteemed 6 Music and Radio 2 presenter Steve Lamacq brings his 'Going Deaf For A Living' website brand to the Bull & Gate for another blast of fresh-eared alt.rock joys. But dont take our word for it, read what Steve has to say here¦

?ìWe are out and about a lot next week, with our trip to SWN next weekend, but before that we have another of our occasional series of gigs in north London. Next Thursday (Oct 20) we present DRIVER DRIVE FASTER from Manchester, SISSY & THE BLISTERS, THE CHEVIN and O MESSY LIFE live at the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town.

DRIVER DRIVE FASTER will be officially launching their latest single, a gorgeously sweeping piece of neatly-propelled pop called They May Talk which can also be found on their debut album Open House which came out in the Summer. Expect melodic craftsmanship of the highest order.

Also on this bumpiest of bumper bills ‚ which weve priced at £6 in advance ‚ are the wonderful SISSY & THE BLISTERS (whose own single Let Her Go is out this week); THE CHEVIN, whove already garnered some rave reviews for their London gigs so far (and whose Champion EP is out on October 31st); and OMESSY LIFE, an excitable and self-proclaimed ?ìunquantifiable¬ù four-piece from the North east who ‚ wait for it wait for it waitforit ‚ release their Escape Velocity single this very week.¬ù
