** ALBERT GOLD PERFORMS 'MIRACLES' ON 'SECOND' EP... ** **…AND SUPPORTS STRONG ASIAN MOTHERS AT THOUSAND ISLAND ON 28.06 ** An upliftingly soulful fierce panda one sheet The Man: ALBERT GOLD The Release: THE 'SECOND' EP The Format: DIGITAL EP
The Release Date: OUT NOW AT The Tracklisting: 1. 'ALL THIS TIME'; 2. 'MIRACLES'; 3. 'MISERABLE'; 4. 'TURN TO STONE'; 5. 'ENDLESS' Fresh from being played by Craig Charles on BBC Radio and shortlisted at the Unsigned Music Awards for Best Songwriter (alongside the likes of Jorja Smith and Carmody) Hackney soulboy Albert Gold celebrates the launch of his miraculous new nu-soul ballad ‘Miracles’ by heading up to Highbury for this show here:
Close Up Promotions x tmrw Volume 2 ‘Miracles’ sees Albert in full stripped back mode, his handsomely emotive vocals augmented by little more than a piano, some fingerclicks and the odd ghostly harmony. ‘Miracles’ was written by Major Myjah, Stefan Skarbek and Tim Fagan and is taken from Albert’s current sophomore EP, correctly entitled ‘Second’, and follows on from ‘Endless’, a slinkily upbeat soulpop jam which Craig Charles saw fit to fit in between Loleatta Holloway and ‘Funkin’ For Jamaica’ by Tom Browne on his radio House Party. The ‘Second’ EP is indeed the second of three Albert Gold Extended Play releases slated to come out over the course of the year, the first being the summertime ‘17 ‘Oxygen’ EP. Bolstered by live shows for Vice, Communion, Tipping Point, BMI / The Fix, London In Stereo, Sofar Sounds and Good Karma, and backed by consistent airplay support from Huw Stephens at Radio 1 and Gary Crowley at BBC Introducing London, Albert Gold put the finishing touches to the ‘Second’ EP at Red Bull Studios in South London late last year. More new Golden tunes coming real soon…

“A remarkably infectious introduction. Controlled, assured songwriting, it finds beauty in darkness.”
“More than anything else, an opportunity to sit back and luxuriate in Albert’s ridiculously wonderful vocal.”
“Described as a bridge between Frank Ocean and Luther Vandross, Gold doesn’t just go heavy on emotion, or melody, or rhythm - he excels in all areas.” |
