* THE NEW UNION RELEASE A NEW SINGLE! *
* TIME TO BELIEVE IN 'BELIEVE IN NOTHING'!! *

a philosophical Label Fandango one sheet

The Act: THE NEW UNION

The Release: 'BELIEVE IN NOTHING'

The Format: DIGITAL SINGLE

The Release Date: AUGUST 4TH 2014

The Record Company: LABEL FANDANGO / FIERCE PANDA

The Truth: THE NEW UNION consist of Richard Jackson, Alex Leeder, James Baker and Leo Solti. They live in Brighton, dress in black (when they aren't all in white) and play piano-driven alt.pop.rock noises with panache, passionate guitars and pretty dang decent cheekbones. 'Believe In Nothing' is their third release and flaunts a fearsomely insistent chorus, while the video captures a countryside ramble with a difference:

Or, in their own words...

"Demonstrating true pop sensibilities, 'Believe In Nothing' proves The New Union's knack for an infectious hook and a chorus that keeps on giving. With a sing-a-long melody and a bass line that'll root itself deep in your subconscious, this is a sure-fire summer anthem, tinged with melancholy..."

'Believe In Nothing' was produced by Mike Lord (British Sea Power / Kins / Tigercub) and mastered at Abbey Road, maintaining The New Union's tradition of working with fantastic producers. March saw the release of their 'Now' single with Electric Soft Parade's Matt Twaites, as well as working with Grammy award-winning producer Dan Grech (Tom Odell, The Vaccines, Scissor Sisters) on their 2013 EP 'Staying Friends'.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Bastille, The 1975 and Slowclub The New Union's next live assignation is the 'Believe In Nothing' launch party which, unbelievably, looks like this:

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 6TH 2014 LONDON HACKNEY SEBRIGHT ARMS (31-35 Coate St, London E2 9AG. 020 7729 0937) LONGFELLOW + THE NEW UNION £4.00 earlybird tickets from www.wegottickets.com/event/279273

THE NEW UNION hereby join the ranks of the '13X13' campaign, whereby fierce panda spin-off record company Label Fandango releases thirteen singles to celebrate turning thirteen years old. The Label Fandango label has just polished off the self-explanatory '12X12' project, which saw them release twelve singles in twelve months to celebrate their 12th birthday in the company of Felt Tip, Desperate Journalist, Ed Zealous, DeLooze, I Am In Love and seven other groovy actettes. It’s a hot plot, and it’s getting hotter…
